Community Seed Saving Party and Potluck

Grow Benzie Farm Series: Community Seed Saving Party and Potluck . Join us for this fun and informative conversation and potluck with Ben Cohen, owner of Small House Farm; Jan Shireman, local homesteader and seed-saver; and Casey Chinnock of Five Springs Farm. Participants will share seeds and stories while we discuss how to build a stronger and more sustainable seed community. We’ll discuss the importance of genetic diversity, regional adaptability and the potential for starting a seed library right here in Benzie! We will also talk about forming a local seed guild and gauge interest on starting a seed production garden for our area!  Bring a dish to pass for the potluck and any seeds you might have to share in the seed exchange.
