Grow Benzie Farm Series: Fruit Tree Grafting & Propagation. Participants will learn how to propagate fruit trees and bushes at Grow Benzie’s perennial fruit propagation workshop. We’ll cover the basics of grafting and rooting cuttings and you’ll go home with two of your own grafted apple trees. The skills can be used to propagate nuts and ornamental plants as well. Guest presenter, Brenin Wertz-Roth, has worked in agriculture and horticulture for most of his life, from commercial cherry farms in Northern Michigan to a permaculture homestead in Northern Washington. This season he is farming land at the Historic Barns property in Traverse City.
