Kombucha: Fermented Beverage Class and Meet-Up


All those who have never tried kombucha and those who have been brewing for years are welcome to come together at this kombucha meet-up and class.    Experienced brewers will share their best practices and beginners can learn how to brew kombucha.  Kombucha is fermented,  lightly effervescent tea drink that has a number of reported health benefits.
Here’s a welcome message from the host, Chris:
“Hello fellow Earthlings, my name is Chris Schnepf and I ferment things for my job, for my health, and for other’s overall well-being. I came to a breaking point in my life a year or two ago; where I made the conscious decision to change my diet, lifestyle, and state of mind to begin healing the root causes of some issues I deal with personally; versus constantly trying to treat the symptoms. Some mental, some physical, some exterior, some internal. This is where fermented beverages and foods became a huge part of my life. I now have a strong sense in life to educate/help grow consciousness on the health of our bodies, minds, and spirits through fermentation.”
Come early to enjoy the Grow Benzie Monday Farmers’ Market from 3-7 pm.  The market concludes at the same time this event concludes.  You are welcome to shop the market and then store your items in our refrigerator while you enjoy the kombucha class and meet-up. 

Everyone!  The event will take place rain or shine.  No pre-registration necessary.
