WANT TO LEARN NEW SKILLS?
WANT TO TEACH YOUR SKILLS?

Grow Benzie will host a community potluck on Monday, October 22nd at 5:30pm to discuss future workshops and programs that involve sewing, quilting, knitting, and other fabric and fiber related activities.

Several groups already utilize space at Grow Benzie including Days for Girls (a group of volunteers that sew reusable feminine hygiene kits), knitters, and makers. The FiberShed has been active for a year and a half at Grow Benzie, coordinating collection efforts for used and new fabric and materials which are re-purposed by different clubs and workshop participants. There are monthly "Make & Take" workshops in Grow Benzie‘s maker space studio including denim aprons, T-shirt rugs, and market bags.

Anyone interested in meeting other folks interested in fiber hobbies, participating in these groups, or are interested in leading (or co-leading) fiber related workshops throughout the winter months is welcome to attend the potluck. If you have questions please contact Grow Benzie at 231-882-9510.
