July 16 Special Event:
*** CHEESE MAKING WORKSHOP

The market will offer seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, and local foods. Our Grill Benzie Food Truck will be there selling fresh food with ingredients grown onsite or sourced locally. We will also be offering free daily nutrition and culinary demonstrations at 3:30 and 5:00, open to the public. You can also take this time to grab your family and walk our edible trail system that lines the property or play through our edible mini golf course!

Cheese Making Workshop
Join Sue Kurta of Boss Mouse Cheese in this cheese workshop! Learn how to make farmers cheese and fresh mozzarella cheese (and sample them!). Both of these cheeses are quick and simple to make, with easy to find, inexpensive ingredients. This two hour class will include hands-on instruction as we prepare these cheeses, as well as a lot of information and history about the craft of cheese making. The workshop will take place rain or shine from 3-5pm in the commercial kitchen in the event center. Boss Mouse Cheese will also be a vendor at our farmers market on this day so bring your appetite for yummy local cheese!. Learn more about this hand-crafted, small batch, Kingsley-based business at bossmousecheese.com . $10 (2 scholarships available: 231-882-9510). RSVP required, limited space.
