Seed Saving 101

What?
Participants will learn the basics of harvesting seeds from different fruits and vegetables. This will be a good workshop for those interested in seed saving to attend before planting their gardens. Learning the best practices for seed harvesting before the season begins. Also, bring any seeds you might be interested in donating to the seed library. You will also have the ooprotunity to checkout some seeds from the library for the 2019 growing season.


Who?
Farmers, beginning producers, retiring/transitioning producers, organic producers, specialty crop producers, sustainable producers, value-added producers, small business owners.

When?
Tuesday, March 26th from 6pm-8pm.

Why?
Sponsored by the USDA-Risk Management Agency and in partnership with Crosshatch Center for Art & Ecology, this workshop aims to share knowledge with producers to increase their viability and reduce financial, production, and marketing risks. Grow Benzie’s goal is to deepen relationships between organizations, farmers, and the community.
