Fermentation Guild: Sourdough Workshop

Grow Benzie's Fermentation Guild meets the third Thursday of the month (sans Feb). The Fermentation Guild brings together professional fermenters, enthusiasts and those merely curious about fermentation. The group starts with a potluck, a chance to share fermented goodies and to "talk shop" with others. Then a workshop lead by one of the members.

This month's workshop will be lead by Gerard Grabowski and Jan Shireman, founders of Pleasonton Bakery. They will be giving a primer on sourdough fermentation and the connection to the microbiome along with bread baking basics overview.

This group has free or reduced pricing for Grow Benzie Members with a Sprout Membership ($50+) or higher. There are varying drop-in costs to each meeting for non-members. We strive to make our educational programming available to all regardless of finances. If a membership would put this group out of reach please email before the event to work out volunteer opportunities in lieu of a paid membership.
