Peyton grew up in Benzonia and was raised by her soul-mates, her mother and two sisters. Together they could be found picking stones along the Lake Michigan coast, traveling between Georgia, Colorado and Minnesota regularly, and always with her childhood pup in the backseat. Peyton was successful in her academics and was an early graduate from Benzie Central High School. She found her love of poetry her freshman year and filled countless journals and blog posts. Peyton then went on to attend Northwestern Michigan College, in Traverse City. Understanding that she had not known her calling at the age of 18, she disenrolled and continued her personal education in beekeeping, permaculture and organic gardening, sustainable living practices, and fine dining. Peyton has made an effort to rise from adversity and attempts to be as dynamic as possible.
Peyton plans to re-enroll in college after her year at Grow Benzie, pursuing her interests of childhood development, rural and agricultural education and creative writing. Peyton is captivated by people, nature and growth. She will settle down in her hometown and aspires to help the people who reside in Benzie County for the rest of her life.
