Here's just a small sampling of the services we’ve provided to connect, develop, and support grassroots organizations over the years.
The Bee Guild
In 2013 the Bee Guild started with casual meet-ups. There would be sparks and connections for enthusiasts, business owners, and hobbyists meeting in neighbor’s backyards.
In 2017, a community potluck was hosted at Grow Benzie to bring together both amateurs and professional beekeepers in Northern Michigan. Today, the guild provides mentorship opportunities, workshops, and spins and sells their organic honey on campus.
In 2019, the guild hosted the Northern Natural Beekeeping Conference. A relationship with Northwest Michigan College’s Extended Education program has provided opportunities for an Introduction to Beetending workshop series.
